Congratulations, Katrina Gliddon, Order of Australia Medal

On behalf of the whole Mother's Heart Organization, it is with great pride and pleasure to announce that our very own Katrina Gliddon, Founder and Co-Director of the Board, has recently been awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) for her service to the international community of Cambodia in this year's Queen's Birthday Honours List.

It is a well-deserved recognition and accolade for Katrina for her work with vulnerable women and girls in crisis pregnancies in Cambodia. Mother's Heart Organization was started in 2010 because she and a Cambodian friend were helping a young lady who was single and pregnant and who did not have access to free medical care for herself and her baby. This situation made Katrina think about how many women and girls in the country are faced with a crisis pregnancy and found there was a huge gap in the services for this demographic. Eleven years later, Mother's Heart is the first and remains the only organization supporting women in crisis pregnancy and is at the forefront in the prevention of child-family separation in Cambodia.

Please join us in congratulating Katrina. We are proud of her and honoured to continue Mother's Heart's vision and mission alongside her.
